Graziano Di Prima praises ‘special friendship’ with Johannes Radebe after Strictly same-sex routine


Johannes and Graziano performed together on Strictly’s live show (Picture: BBC)Graziano Di Prima has spoken about his special friendship with Strictly co-star Johannes Radebe as they made show history with the first ever same-sex routine.The pair performed on Sunday night’s results show together, dancing to Shine by Emeli Sande who was singing behind them.

After being praised for the beautiful and game-changing dance, Graziano shared a tribute to his long friendship with Johannes online.Alongside photos of them on and off Strictly, Graziano wrote: ‘Our friendship is difficult to explain, we went through so many moments together that we can understand each other without saying a WORD.

.‘As I say to you most of the time: You will be part of my life FOREVER… love you Johannes.’Johannes posted a similar sentiment on Instagram with a photo of them standing side-by-side, writing the words, ‘Love knows no boundaries’ alongside it.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe messages were praised now just by fans, but by co-stars and others who have taken part in Strictly and its overseas counterparts.

Drag Race star Courtney, real name Shane Jenek, took part in Dancing With The Stars last year in drag, before over time dropping the femme persona to perform as male by the last routine.Sending their love to Johannes and Graziano, Courtney wrote: ‘Amazing dance, boys! On behalf of young queer kids (and adults) everywhere- Thank you!’Last year’s Strictly winner Stacey Dooley wrote: ‘You two, I CANT’, while this year’s hopeful Chris Ramsey called them ‘absolute legends’.
