New Resident Evil game Project Resistance is a new 4v1 survival horror

Resident Evil with friendsCapcom has offered the first detailed explanation of their new multiplayer game, with a rare chance to play as a zombie or Tyrant.Resident Evil spin-off Project Resistance has been revealed to be an ‘asymmetric online five-person multiplayer game’ that combines ‘both co-operative and competitive dynamics’.

In other worlds it’s a 4 vs. 1 game of the sort that seemed like it would become popular when Evolve first came out, but almost instantly fell out of fashion.‘Four survivors must work together to escape an insidious experiment and outsmart the twisted Mastermind behind the scenes’, says the marketing blurb.

The Mastermind is the player trying to beat the other four, at first by using security cameras to track survivors and create traps and obstacles. The Mastermind will also use a ‘strategic deck of cards’ to summon creatures, set traps, manipulate the environment, and weaponise security cameras. They can also directly control zombies, as well as presumably other monsters, and you can see in the trailer above that they can control the Mr X style Tyrant seen at the end of the teaser trailer.

Although they seem to be fairly basic things like healing and hacking security cameras.More: Gaming
